Specialized Care Pathways & Navigation
Our services are organized into distinct pathways to tailor clinical guidance, communication practices, and onboarding directly to your situation, bringing clarity to complex psychiatric decisions and care transitions.
Urgent Care Navigation
Designed for adult clients, parents, or legal guardians facing acute psychiatric escalations, sudden prescriber gaps, hospital discharge transitions, university/workplace mental health crises, or a breakdown in current outpatient care.
- • Fast-track psychiatrist & prescriber matching
- • Rapid level-of-care evaluations (IOP / PHP / Residential)
- • Urgent facility vetting & hospital intake/discharge coordination
- • Academic medical leave navigation & step-down transition planning
*Clinical Boundary Note: Urgent Care Navigation provides strategic direction, rapid placement vetting, and care team coordination. Active, immediate safety threats require 911, an emergency department, or the 988 Lifeline.
Our Four Primary Service Pathways
The Partnership Pathway
Adult Client & Family Joint
For adult clients who are actively participating in their mental health care alongside involved family members or support networks.
- Collaborative clinical planning & psychiatric care coordination
- Family communication alignment
- Supported transitions between levels of care
- Dual consent executed by adult client & participating family
The Individual Care Pathway
Independent Adult Client
For adult clients seeking direct, confidential 1:1 clinical consulting, psychiatric care navigation, and specialized provider matching independently.
- Individualized decision support & level-of-care guidance
- Outpatient treatment team assembly
- Strictly managed confidentiality & HIPAA ROIs
- Executed solely by the adult client
The Family Navigators Pathway
Family with Disengaged Relative
For parents, spouses, or family members navigating complex psychiatric care, severe illness, or treatment resistance for an unengaged adult relative.
- Strategic family guidance & clinical placement options
- Systemic boundary setting & treatment mapping
- Crisis & intervention strategies
- Completed via a dedicated family consulting agreement
Youth & Family Growth Pathway
Minor Client & Legal Guardian
For parents and legal guardians seeking clinical guidance, treatment placement, or ongoing care coordination for a child or teen under 18 facing complex needs.
- Pediatric & adolescent mental health navigation
- Higher levels of clinical care (IOP / PHP / Residential)
- Specialized therapeutic school matching
- Family system support & joint-custody protocol compliance
Financial & Privacy Protocol
Family members or parents may serve strictly as the financial guarantor/payor for consulting services without requiring access to clinical information. While a Release of Information (ROI) authorizing communication with family members is strongly encouraged to support collaborative care, it remains entirely optional at the adult client’s discretion.
Care Partnership & Ongoing Advocacy
While we offer focused consultations for specific decisions, clients in any pathway may engage VIP as an ongoing Care Partner. This continuous service delivers long-term case management, regular check-ins, progress monitoring, clinical case conferences, transition management between levels of care, and ongoing guidance regarding home boundaries and systemic family support.
Practice & Fee Structure
Professional consulting services are billed at an hourly rate based strictly on the actual time devoted to your case, the nature of the consultation, and the professional experience required. Because each clinical situation is unique, there is no predetermined total cost for services.
Scope of Services & Clinical Boundaries
VIP Therapeutic Consulting provides therapeutic and clinical consultation, placement guidance, family support, and care coordination. Our services are designed to complement, rather than replace, the direct clinical care provided by treating physicians, psychiatrists, and primary therapists.
Scope Disclaimer: VIP does not provide direct psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, medication management, or 24/7 crisis intervention as part of our consulting role. When clinically indicated, VIP may facilitate access to specialized psychological assessments or wrap-around clinical services delivered by appropriately licensed independent professionals via separate agreements.
Safety & Crisis Protocols
VIP Therapeutic Consulting is not an emergency response service and does not offer 24/7 emergency monitoring or active crisis management. If you or your family member is experiencing an acute or life-threatening psychiatric situation (active suicidal intent, severe self-harm, violent behavior, acute psychosis, or medical emergency), seek immediate in-person emergency intervention:
